Attendance¶

Attendance captures whether a student was present or absent on particular school working day. Attendance is marked by a classroom teacher. By default, for any working day if there is no explicit marking by a classroom teacher, the attendance of a student is considered to be present in the classroom. This also means that when a student is actually absent in the classroom, the teacher must explicitly mark absent for the student for that day.

School Calendar¶

LMS system expects school to upload a data which marks all the school holidays along with their weekly off. This is called as school calendar and when juxtaposed with student's attendance, the LMS system is able to gather absent rate of any student. Usually absent rate is critical performance evaluation of a student and it is part of student, classroom and school level reports.

Entity Attributes¶

Following attributes define attendance.

occurend_on

Timestamp for which attedance is marked.

attended

Attendance marking, when prenset the value is set to true and when absent, value is set to false.

Entity Relationships¶

student

Student to which attedance is marked.

classroom

Classroom of the student.

profile

The staff who marked this attedance.
