Assessment¶
Assessment is the evaluation on a subgoal for a student. There are multiple kinds of assessment that represent different stages of IEP lifecycle.
Domain Competency / Onboarding Assessment¶
This assessment is made when a new student is onboarded to saut-lms platform. As there is no history of previous learnings of this student, a general assessment is conducted based on on which subgoals are marked. The assessment is marked with pass or fail values at subgoal level. For ease of use, there is also provision given in ui to bulk assess at category/goal or domain level.
Iep Assessment¶
This assessment is made during iep creation for an existing student with previous ieps. The purpose of this assessment is to reassess their existing learning. The assessment is marked with pass or fail values at subgoal level. For ease of use, there is also provision given in ui to bulk assess at category/goal or domain level.
An assesment of fail on existing completed iep subgoal will be considered forgotten subgoal.
Daily Assessment¶
This assessment is made, as the name suggests, on a daily basis once the iep is finalized for the student. The assessment is marked at subgoal level and is marked with values as per the assessment criterion attached to the goal/domain of the subgoal.

Entity Attributes¶
Following attributes define an assessment.
occurred_on- When the assessment occurred.
value- Value of the assessment. Value could be
pass,failor one of the measurement values as defined in the assessment criterion type- The type of assessment, as discussed above, whether onboarding or daily assessment.
qualifiers- The assessment qualifiers associated to the measurement value captured.
success- Whether this assessment marks the successful completion of the subgoal. This will be automatically deduced by the system.
Entity Relationships¶
student- The student to which this asessment belongs to.
iep- The iep to which this asessment belongs to.
assessed_by- The staff who made this assessment.
subgoal- The subgoal to which this assessment is made.
iep_domain- The domain to which this assessment is made.
iep_summary_node- Subgoal summary node to which this assessment will be attached.
